"Everyday Math" in Bath 02/27/2007

Bath second-graders are learning a new approach to math. They're being taught that sometimes it's okay to take your own approach. Teachers are calling it "Everyday Math", and they're spending about an hour and a half on it every day-- that's more than double the time devoted to it last year. While it's too soon to tell if the new approach is getting results, teachers say they're getting a lot of positive feedback from the kids.
