This Massachusetts native now calls Maine home. Doug grew up in Belmont, MA., a suburb of Boston. At Marietta College Doug played soccer and tennis. He then received his Master's Degree in Broadcast Journalism at Boston University. After working at Star Market through graduate school, Doug's television career began in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Then in January of 1999, the one year anniversary of the ice storm, Doug and his family moved to Maine and WGME-13 where he's been ever since!
On the weekends you can catch Doug behind the anchor desk and during the week he's hitting the street digging up stories and meeting lots of interesting people. Doug and his wife, Nicole are the proud parents of 8-year-old Caroline and 6-year-old Justin. Both kids share their parents love of sports such as skiing, basketball, soccer, baseball and swimming. (Now you know how they spend their free time).
