When Evans Boston arrived at WGME News 13, he officially returned home. A native of York, Evans is thrilled to cover the sports and events he grew up with, especially his alma mater, the York Wildcats!
Evans is no stranger to the Pine Tree State. Before WGME, he was the sports director at WVII in Bangor. While at "the circle seven," Evans was known for his high school coverage, especially football!
Prior to arriving in Bangor, Evans was weekend sports anchor/reporter at WHIZ in Zanesville, Ohio.
Evans is a graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. The biggest thrill of his career thus far came at Syracuse, where he called the Orangemen's national championship run in men's basketball live on WAER, the student-run radio station. Evans thanks Carmelo Anthony every day for that opportunity!
Evans lives in Scarborough with his wife, Maureen. And yes, Evans Boston is his real name.
