Giovanna Bechard is happy to be back in Maine where her reporting career started in Bangor. While Giovanna is originally from New Jersey, she married a Mainer and spent seven years in New England before leaving for Anchorage, Alaska. Maine wasn't cold enough!
In Alaska, Giovanna reported for KTUU, covering everything from glacier hiking to state politics. After leaving the cold, dark tundra Giovanna headed to Virginia Beach.
For more than three years Giovanna reported at WTKR. While she loved the ocean, it was time to head back North, near family. Giovanna is happily married to Brian, a News 13 photographer. Giovanna, Brian and their chocolate lab Maggie love hiking and spending time near the ocean.
